You can give the location of ssl libs (both should be in same place)
for --with-imap-ssl like this:
--with-imap-ssl=/usr/local/ssl
--Jani

I have the PHP 4.0.4pl1 source tarball. I used the following config command:
./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs --with-mysql=/usr --with-imap --with-imap-ssl
Configure runs fine, when I attempt a 'make' I get this:
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/php-4.0.4pl1'
[stub.c compiles fine, the next compile line gives this:]
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lcrypto
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [libphp4.la] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/php-4.0.4pl1'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
I happen to have a solution. PHP 4.0.4pl1 indeed would have no trouble finding libcrypto.a, if only
it would be in /usr/lib. It sometimes gets installed in /usr/local/ssl/lib. Just copy libcrypto.a
to /usr/lib and run configure then make again.
