PHP Bug Type: Misbehaving function
Bug description: filesize() limited to local files.
simple problem/feature missing:
fopen() quite readily accepts http and ftp urls, but
some of the documented functions (ones i find really useful) don't work on these file types.
for example filesize("http://www.whatever.com/blah.html")
doesn't work although it will work on local files.
