I'm going to play around with the setup for a few days to make sure everything is ok, and make sure none of the changes broke anything compiling on other platforms. There are two things which caused some problems that I'm wondering what the best approach would be to fix. First, the compiler complained because the macro HAVE_SNPRINTF is defined in both php and apache. It's solution to this problem was to ignore the macro altogether, which is bad. My quick solution was to change the name of the macro in config.h and the other files that use it (php.h, snprintf.h, snprintf.c). But the macro is automatically named by autoheader, and I'm not sure how to do a different name. So, is there a way to check for it without using AC_CHECK_FUNC (other than writing a little program to check...). Or, is there something I can feed the compiler to tell it to use php's macro? The second problem was less minor... Apache wouldn't link the php module, it gave an error about the table being out of date (can't remember exactly...) but I had to run ranlib on the module so it would compile. Unless there's a better way, I plan to modify the apache configure to run ranlib on it before compiling. -- PHP Development Mailing List http://www.php.net/ To unsubscribe send an empty message to php-dev-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For help: php-dev-help@lists.php.net
