Mcrypt 2.4.4 does not compile into php. php still compiles, but mcrypt fails to init.
FIX:
in configure:
line 23006: should read: LIBS="-lltdl -mcrypt $LIBS"
line 23040: should read: LIBS="-lltdl -mcrypt $LIBS"
