problems with TTF

Hi:
I'm trying to use the image's functions of php3. To do that, I have
recompiled the php3 source package with
the --with-gd option, and I have libttf on my system. After do that, if
I run one page with the function
phpinfo(), the results are :
...
gd Version 1.2 with FreeType support
...
The problem is that if I try to run the example program:

$im = imagecreate(400,30);
$black = ImageColorAllocate($im,0,0,0);
$white = ImageColorAllocate($im,255,255,255);
ImageTTFText($im,20,0,10,20,$white,"/var/traidos/freetype/arial.ttf","Testing

ImageGif($im);
ImageDestroy($im);
?>
the apache server tell me that "the document contained no data", and in
the error_log file:
... child pid 6793 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
I think that the problem is in the ImageTTFText function, because if I
remove it I don't see the no data message.
Whay am I doing bad?
