Please update to 4.0.6RC1 or 4.0.7-dev and try again, this should have been fixed in CVS.

The parser crashes when invoking die() or exit function inside included module function. Ex.:
in module main.php
...
require_once( "Module.inc.php" );
...
$object->some_function( $parameter );
...
in module Module.inc.php
...
class SomeObject
{
function some_function( $parameter )
{
...
exit; // or die();
}
}
...
