You can't. Since there's no meaning to the exit status of PHP right now,
though, we may add that in the future.

I'm now in the need of the option to exit with a specific status (if you
wonder, it is for a mail handler).
Is there any option to implement this now? If someone could point me at the
right place, I'll try it myself. Zeev's response looks like it is not
completely impossible to do.
