We have a bunch of bug reports that indicate that closing any sort of file
on RH6 (glibc-2.1.1-6) causes a problem when PHP is compiled as a DSO. I
have confirmed this on a fresh RH6 install I did last night. Compiled
statically, everything is fine.
Stig and I are chasing it down, but if someone has any ideas, please speak
up.
