Operating system: Irix 6.5
PHP version: 3.0.7
PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure
Bug description: '//' does NOT start a comment in ANSI C
A few lines of the php source code have been commented out using the C++ style '//'
comment delimiter. This is fine in a GNU environment, but causes the build to fall over in a strict
ANSI environment.
The fix: /* use real comments */
