En which version of the jpeg library do you have? This is the output of configure: checking whether to include PCRE support... yes checking for memmove... (cached) yes checking whether to include PDFlib support... yes checking for the location of libjpeg... yes checking for jpeg_read_header in -ljpeg... no configure: error: libjpeg not found!
