Bug description: crypt gone without a trace
Any call to crypt() creates an empty string. Downgrade to 4.0.5 fixes the problem.
I also tried putting the '4.0.5' crypt.c in the '4.0.6' build and recompiled
after a make clean, but that didn't make a difference.
