It was. Oh boy, was it.

Really? The formula seemed quite legit (and complex). The only sticking
point is when you assume you are using the Julian calendar as opposed to
the Gregorian. It's set for 1752, when England switched. Most of Europe
switched about 200 years earlier, I believe.
But I digress.
Yeah, it was more of an experiment based on an off-handed
remark I made about the date() function. Hardly a core function, and
nothing
you couldn't implement in a script anyway. Feel free to take it out, if
that's the concensus (but I'm keeping a copy!).
I'm guessing stuff like this would be better off with PHP4 when user-made
functions can be bolted in more easily.
No hard feelings taken, no matter what happens ... but keep
date('t') in there, dammit! :)
