In source file curl.c, line 157 in PHP version 4.0.6 there's a spelling mistake.
A define with the name CURLOPT_BINARYTRANSER is defined.
IMHO, the letter F is missing.
Otherwise you'll get a warning whenever you try to
curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_BINARYTRANSFER,1);
