I don't have a sybase setup on which to test, but oracle uses the same
addslashes method and should not have nulls escaped. I checked sybase
documentation and saw nothing about escaping nulls... if anyone can
answer authoritatively one way or the other for sybase, it would be a good
thing.
if no one answers before the weekend, I'll set up a sybase server and test
myself.
