DB3 is now a standard RPM on RedHat 6.x and above when you upgrade to rpm-4.0.x. RedHat 6.2 originally came with rpm-3. rpm-4's database is now in db3 format adn as rpm is a required binary everything related to it (except the rpm database itself) is installed on the root (/) partition. /usr could potentially be on a different partition.

Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-10-05 02:58:27] oliver@deeper.co.nz Configure doesn't seem to search /lib for db-3.so. On RedHat 6.2 (and above?) systems db3 is installed in /lib not /usr/lib. I tried specifying --with-db3=/ and that didn't seem to solve the issue. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ATTENTION! Do NOT reply to this email!
