Detecting --disable-session

Is there are way a session can depect at compile time that session is not
included? I looked in the config.m4 of ext/session and it seems not to
define a constant that it was, in fact, enabled.
So, my extension (ext/msession) fails to link because session is not there.
I can wrap the bits that need session in #ifdef/#endif, but of course, I
need to kknow how to detect.
