Status: Open
Bug Type: Session related
Operating System: Windows 2000
PHP Version: 4.0.6
New Comment:
Note that because session_write() is called upon request shutdown, you will never see any output
from that function. If you're expecting to see debugging output from that function,
you're out of luck. That best way to output debugging messages from your custom write function
is to write to a file instead of standard out.
In other words, 'echo' and 'print' don't work in a session write handler.

Hello,
I have register globals turned off and have a 'user' defined session handler that stores
the sessions in a db.
It appears as though the 'session write' function isn't getting called.
I have read alot of posts from other having this trouble but no solutions. There is no mention of
anyone working on the problem.
How can I help?
Douglas.
