Bug #13708: Forbidden

From: ramajogi@rediffmail.com Operating system: windows98 PHP version: 4.0.6 PHP Bug Type: Apache related Bug description: Forbidden configured php4.06 to work on apache1.3 running on windows98. created asub folder named php in the htdocs folder of apache. 1)created test.php with the code <html> <?php phpinfo();?> </html> when i give the following URL in internetexplorer5.0 http://localhost/php/test.php it is giving following error: --------------------------------------- The page cannot be found The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable -------------------------------------------------------- 2)Then copied index.html from htdocs folder of apache and given the following URL in the browser http://localhost/php/ then the following error is displayed ---------------------------------------------------------- Forbidden You don't have permission to access /php/ on this server. ------------------------------------------------------ 3)running php.exe from the php home dirctory is displaying screenfull of html code please let me know what is wrong. thanks inadvance ramajogi -- Edit bug report at: http://bugs.php.net/?id=13708&edit=1
