Bug Type: COM related
Operating System: win98
PHP Version: 4.0CVS-2001-10-11
New Comment:
new Variant(<>, VT_DATE); expected a php-date long and not a float, thus the conversion
failed.
i added a check if the var is a float or a long into the cvs version (and the version i sent you)
and do the right conversion now.
i still don't understand why you got a currency value, couldn't reporduce this.
harald.

/*
VT_DATE Seems to produce a currency value in php4.08 dev
A value denoting a date and time was specified. Dates are represented as double-precision numbers,
where midnight, January 1, 1900 is 2.0, January 2, 1900 is 3.0, and so on.
*/
$varDATE = new Variant(3.0,VT_DATE);
print $varDate->value;
#prints ($)3.0 (Currency value) instead of:1/3/1900
