Actually, this could be fixed by adding a whole bunch of tests
to configure.in to see if these various symbols are defined.
Better would be to just beat up the IMAP people for their
silly library.
(Has anyone read the IMAP spec? It is garbage. On top of all sorts
of protocol silliness, its just flat-out poorly organized.)
