Yes (apxs) and no (apache version).
FWIW, apache version is 1.3.6.
I had previously installed php-3.0.7 with no problems. Attempted to upgrade to
php-3.0.9 (haven't tried .8) and the link line had the libraries before the
-L/path definitions using the generated Makefile. Funny thing is if I look at
the Makefile, the order looks correct.
Issuing a manual make command with everything in the right order succeeds and
php runs just fine. I'm at a loss to explain why the the Makefile looks correct
but what actually gets executed is different. Ergo the bug report. Something
funny with apxs maybe?
The perl version is perl-5.005.02 if that's any help.
BTW, thanks for the follow-up.
