RE: [PHP-DEV] Bug #13958 Updated: Compiling PHP into Apache with mySQL crashes make
Maybe we should set a cookie that we can use to verify they have searched
the bug database first. Granted it is an extra step the first time (and
maybe more depending on the life of the cookie), but it should cut down on
dup's and once the new bug system is ready, if it ever will be, they can
simply tack on their own comments to the existing bugs.
Only side effect I see is maybe someone gets fed up with having to search
first and never reports the bug, but I don't see this happening often.

On apache make, it craps out during including the static php module, with an
error about mysql's library file:
libmysqlclient.a(my_compress.o): In function my_uncompress and my_compress,
undefined reference to 'uncompress' and 'compress'
./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.22 --with-gd=/usr/local --with-mysql
=/usr/local/mysql
