Problem with Configure..

Hi, today i got some weird problems with ./configure ... --with-gd=<path to sec version>. I have a version installed on the system and its works nice with --with-gd but if i want to link to a new patched version so its tricky. The .configure scripts ignore me and links to the old version under /usr/local ... Its that ok or not? -- Marco
