Old Status: Open
Status: Closed
Bug Type: MSSQL related
Operating System: NT4.0
PHP Version: 4.0.6
New Comment:
The DB Library used for the MSSQL extension does not support char and varchar columns with more than
256 characters.
char and varchar columns was extended from 256 to 8000 in SQL Server 7.0 but the DB library from
Microsoft was not updated.
If you want to use wide columns use the text type.
Further textlimit only affects columns of type text. It has no effect on char or varchar columns.
