The original dbase field type is 'N'.
I think the reason for my problem is line 466 in
PHP Source 'dbase.c' where the type conversion is
executed:
#466: case 'N': /* FALLS THROUGH */

My original dBase contains one field with numbers like 1,5 or 2,5. When I try to get the contents
with dbase_get_record_with_names the resulting array contains only the pre-comma-values like 1 or 2.
Is it a typecast problem ? I think field contents like '1,5' should be converted to
string.
