it's fixed now. sterlings commit will be implemented in 4.2.0, from
NEWS:
- Fixed is_dir(), is_writeable(), is_readable(), is_executable(),
is_link() and is_file() functions to not throw a 'file does not
exist' warning. (Sterling)
