question:
can we (you) change the way we distribute the beta-test tarballs?
sometimes the beta test goes through several phases, and it can get
confusing as to which is the latest one. what i would propose is changing
the name of the tarball from:
php-3.0.10.tar.gz
to something more like:
php-3.0.10b1.tar.gz
then, when everyone is happy, use the latest bX version and name it back to
php-3.0.10.tar.gz for public distribution.
what do you think?
