To optimize the reliability of PHP to build out of the box I'm
looking for people with access to various systems.
On these systems a special build script should automatically
(no manually testing!) determine whether PHP still builds or
whether it breaks at some place.
The build script should run at least daily to ensure that during
non-beta phases developers get constant feedback.
I'm currently running the script on following the systems:
- Solaris/Sparc 2.7 with WorkShop Compilers 4.2 and gcc2 ss-980609
- Linux/x86 2.2, glibc-2.1.1, egcs 1.1.2
- FreeBSD/x86 3.2, gcc 2.7.2.1
If you have some spare cycles, please have a look at build-script
in the CVS tree.
We'll probably set up a dedicated mailing list for this purpose
since the log files may become quite large (+70KB).
