PHP Bug Type:     Performance problem
Bug description:  too slow

if php script running in unix shell it works TOO slowly
under web server or NT command line works fine.

problem line is ereg_replace
this command process <20 text lines under unix shell (with 30 sec
timeout)
if >20 lines - execution timeout erorr
if >50 lines - unix error "fragmentation fault"
but under web server or NT console it process >1000 text lines per half
second!
