PHP Version: 4.0CVS-2002-01-28 New Comment: gcc -dumpversion gives: 2.95.3 Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-01-28 16:28:46] d.a.roozemond@student.tue.nl Hi, it's very well possible this bug is fixed by the time you read it, but i thought i'd report it anyway. The cvs from about a week ago compiled ok though. I used the same configure command. i did a buildconf, then ./configure --prefix=/usr --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs --with-openssl --enable-ftp --with-gd --enable-gd-native-ttf --with-jpeg-dir=/usr --with-png-dir=/usr --with-freetype-dir=/usr --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-zlib-dir=/usr --enable-sockets failes with error: checking for gcc... gcc checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... yes checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) is a cross-compiler... no checking whether we are using GNU C... yes checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes checking whether gcc and cc understand -c and -o together... yes checking for gcc option to accept ANSI C... none needed checking how to run the C preprocessor... cc -E checking for c++... no checking for g++... no checking for gcc... gcc checking whether the C++ compiler (gcc ) works... no configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot create executables. regards, Dan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=15261&edit=1
