I tryed to reproduce the error with exactly the same configure
line(from a text file), and it worked fine. Sorry for disturbing.

It is in the distribution. What is the exact error you get?

When compling with --enable-ftp it can't find the dir ext/ftp, maybe
someone forgot to put it with the release?
