I'm curious: how would this affect hosted environments? When you use PHP as
a module in Apache, the php.ini file is read when the server is started. The
change I propose would only have an effect if you start Apache and your
current directory happened to have php.ini in it. I suspect that this is not
how they do things, or am I missing something?
