From: ansi@rnc.ro Operating system: Solaris 2.6/Sparc PHP version: 3.0.7 PHP Bug Type: MySQL related Bug description: library -lmysqlclient: not found I have compiled Apache httpd with support for PHP and MySQL. After I have compiled PHP, trying to configure Apache I received the following error: > bash-2.02# ./configure --prefix=/www > --activate-module=src/modules/php3/libphp3.a > Configuring for Apache, Version 1.3.6 > + using installation path layout: Apache (config.layout) > + activated php3 module (modules/php3/libphp3.a) > + Warning: no Perl interpreter available for support scripts. > + Perhaps you have to select one with --with-perl=FILE. > Creating Makefile > Creating Configuration.apaci in src > Creating Makefile in src > + configured for Solaris 260 platform > + setting C compiler to gcc > + setting C pre-processor to gcc -E > + checking for system header files > + adding selected modules > o php3_module uses ConfigStart/End > ld: fatal: library -lmysqlclient: not found > ld: fatal: File processing errors. This is most likely because your C compiler > ** is not ANSI. Apache requires an ANSI C Compiler, such > ** as gcc. The above error message from your compiler > ** will also provide a clue. > Aborting! I have tried several versions of PHP3, MySQL and Apache (sources) and I get the same error. My gcc compiler is a ANSI one (I compiled some daemons with it, including POP3, IMAP and Sendmail) and I installed al C/C++ libraries.
