A friend just pointed out this project:
Nanoweb's main features are :
- Decent performance
- HTTP/1.1 compliant
- CGI support
- Name based virtual hosts
- Authentication
- Keep-alive connections
- Server Side Includes
- Apache combined and MySQL logging
- gzip compression support
http://nanoweb.si.kz/?p=root
it's basically what I'm trying to do - just in a more advanced stage :)
nanoweb's just incredible ...
