Why not write a nice configuration GUI which edits your registry automatically? Sounds like a nice Windows project for someone on the list.
AndiSure, if you want to give all users access to registry (or you're willing to handle everyone's config change requests), and for those settings that cannot be overwritten per directory, all sites can be configured the same. Shane
