you can now enable spam protection for your php.net email address. this
is the same type of self-moderated whitelist protection that the mailing
lists are protected by. when an unrecognized sender sends mail to a
protected address, they are required to confirm that they're not a
spambot by replying to a confirmation message. the whitelist is shared
across all of the @php.net addresses (but not between @lists.php.net and
@php.net, for now).
new cvs accounts will default to having this enabled. existing accounts
have it disabled by default. you can change the setting for your account
at http://master.php.net/manage/users.php. just
click on the 'edit your
entry' link and change the setting. (you can also change your password
and forwarding email address here.)
and if you've forgotten your cvs password, don't forget you can get it
changed using the form at http://master.php.net/forgot.php.
if you have other problems with your cvs account, contact group@php.net.
