From: cwiegand@urgentmail.com Operating system: Debian Linux 2.1 (Kernel 2.2.10) PHP version: 3.0.11 PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure Bug description: Regex functions redefined with Apache 1.3.6 and Debian 2.1 I try to compile php 3.0.11 with ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --with-config-file=/usr/local/apache/conf/php3.ini (--with-system-regex) (--with-mysql) --enable-magic-quotes --enable-safe-mode . Items in () are optional, I've tried it with and without them. I'm using Debian GNU/Linux 2.1, and I've build Apache 1.3.6 installed into /usr/local/apache. /usr/local/apache/include/hsregex.h and /usr/include/regex.h have many functions which collide, like regerror, regex_t, regcomp, regfree, regexec, regoff_t, REG_NOTEOL, and others. I can't use the Debian packages because they're too old, and I'm a business, so I can't use unstable.
