For users of msession, beta3 was supposed to be the release candidate, but there were far too many
requests
for *important* features to be ignored for a 1.0 release. Instead, I opted for one more beta
release,
crossing my fingers, saying "this time for sure."
New features:
Enhanced Windows support.
Autosave feature.
file-based save/restore (serialization) plugin.
protection plugin which disallows some of the listing APIs for multi-domain sits.
administraton tool which allows certain run-time settings to be modified. (tools/madmin)
support for PHP 4.2.1
Some restructuring/cleanup of phoenix and msession projects.
Random seed comes from /dev/urandom instead of /dev/random (fixes a bug on FreeBSD)
msession api is a separate library, and a DLL under Windows.
User space mutex under Windows.
Multithreaded "atomic" operations under Windows without mutex
new msession_ctl API for testing various properties of a session
some small bug fixes.
