Never mind I found out. The domxml extension has the examples I needed.
What about modifying is_subclass_of() so the second parameter can be a
class, not just a name?

Subject: [PHP-DEV] How to extend a class in Zend?
Hi,
I know how to register a class and functions inside it, but i'm wondering
how to extend one? I want to do the equivalent of:
class Fred extends Joe {
}
Then, once my class is extended, how do I call parent functions from my new
class?
Any example?
Fab.
