I've done quite a bit of wince programming. Personally, since the memory and processor limitations are significant, I'd just use berkeley sockets (hint, there's no decent perl interpreter). They're easy to program in CE. The quirks, of CE makes anything as complex as PHP a nightmare to port. However if you want to attack it, I'd get in touch with this guy: http://www.rainer-keuchel.de/software.html Joseph > -----Original Message----- > From: Peter Petermann [mailto:webmaster@fist-center.de] > Sent: Wednesday, June 19, 2002 8:47 AM > To: Wez Furlong; php-dev@lists.php.net > Subject: Re: [PHP-DEV] PHP on WinCE > > > Hi Wez, > > > I know; it sounds insane, but has anyone tried compiling PHP for WinCE? > > A client is potentially interested in a "micro PHP" application for PDAs > > that will keep in sync with the master application on an > (inter|intra)net. > At the PHP Conference last Year in Frankfurt, one of the visitors > from Munich > told > me that he was working on some PDA stuff, but those PDA's used a "normal" > Windows, > if my memories are correct..
