Could someone please give this an eye? In my opinion, this isn't a documentation problem, but a flaw within the pcre-extension, as his code is clearly working with lowercase umlauts, but when trying to match the uppercase, the pcre ignores the /i option in the expression.
Btw. retested it with 4.3.0-dev and it's still there..
