Okay, I finally broke down and just poked around, and /usr/sbin/apachectl works just fine. I also have the home page of the new look up-and-running again at new.php.net, if you want to preview it. I'm going to tweak the logo to remove the '3' part. I'll be filling in the rest of the content fairly quickly, hopefully. (I'm starting from a blank slate and copying stuff in, rather than trying to work on top of the stuff that was already done. kist to avoid too much extra junk lingering in the tree.) Jim
