Dynamic Combo Boxes

Hello, I searched the Php sample code pages but I didn't find anything about Html combo boxes with option values coming from a database table. I am using Php and Mysql to produce Web reports and I need to create a parameters input page with this dynamic Html combo boxes. Is this possible using only Php or I need also to use javascript ? My idea is to use the Mysql fetch array function and then inside a Php loop use a javascript function to update on the fly the values of the combos.
