This was present in the last version of the zend_highlight() function, and I'm finding it harshly apparent when displaying line numbers: the parser appears to add a newline to the end of every script. In the old version, this wasn't directly apparent because the lines were terminated with a <br>, but there is definately a <br> apparent after the last line of scripts using the unmodified version. Is this a bug with the parser? If not, does anybody have any ideas about how I can get around this (counting lines with CG(zend_lineno) still yields the extra line, which is how I came to the conclusion that the problem lies in the parser).
Ideas?
