Nope, I'm not. If you remember I said I'm +1 and -1 for this. The minus one being the statements said before. I don't believe jumping into using PECL without a start of a secure binary distribution method is a wise idea. And by start I mean an actual working template. But I do agree that movement forward on PECL is going to need a drastic step (i.e. what you're suggesting).For more information on this see an email from Marko Karripinen from July 26th 2002 detailing the original idea/method for doing this. It has been since toned down a bit, but follows the same idea.You're missing the point :-)
