Or Ruby where instead of the dollar sign for the global variable you use at-mark :)
(The dollar sign is another scope, and C-like prefix-less vars are local :),

Well, in a way it is right to have this, but in a way it get things more
difficult for newbies to start. I prefer PHP handling variables the way
it does right now. Maybe something like what is suggested can be
optional, but I don't think it is really doable as to be "an option".
