There are other problems with gd, specifically with the xpm
stuff. RC3 barfs compiling against external gd libs.
Incorporating the changes found in:
http://cvs.php.net/co.php/php4/ext/gd/php_gd.h?login=2&r=1.49
and
http://cvs.php.net/co.php/php4/ext/gd/gd.c?login=2&r=1.239
fixes the problem, which didn't occur in RC2.
