Operating system: Solaris 2.6 sparc
PHP version: 4.0 Beta 2
PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure
Bug description: Yacc failed to compile parsedate.y
While trying to compile php4-b2 under solaris 2.6 sparc,
(latest sun workshop with cc 5.0), yacc failed to compile
ext/standard/parsedate.y telling that on line 152 there is
an illegal escape or that keyword expect is reserved.
This yacc is :
#type yacc
yacc is /usr/ccs/bin/yacc
#yacc -V
yacc: Software Generation Utilities (SGU) Solaris/ELF (3.0)
#sum /usr/ccs/bin/yacc
1296 107 /usr/ccs/bin/yacc
But after compiling and installing bison 1.25, bison did
succeed to compile parsedate.y.
