From: cosentino@lucent.com Operating system: Redhat Linux 6.0 PHP version: 4.0 Beta 2 PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure Bug description: Cannot Compile with PDFlib 2.01 pdflib2.01 installed on my system and appears to be working normally (successful "make test"). Tried to install PHP4 with the following: ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs \ --with-pdflib \ --with-mysql Resulting Problem: checking whether to include Pdflib 2.0 support... yes yes checking for PDF_close in -lpdf... no configure: error: pdflib extension requires pdflib 2.0. If I try: ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs \ --with-pdflib=/usr/local \ --with-mysql OR: ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs \ --with-pdflib=/usr/local/lib \ --with-mysql I get this: checking whether to include Pdflib 2.0 support... No In /usr/local/lib I have: libpdf2.01.so libpdf2.01.a libpdf2.0.so = symbolic link of libpdf2.01.so libpdf2.0.a = symbolic link of libpdf2.01.a libpdf.so = symbolic link of libpdf2.01.so libpdf.a symbolic link of libpdf2.01.a (I created all the symbolic links because someone said that it had worked for them doing it that way.) PHP 4.0 Beta 2 compiles correctly for me without pdflib. i.e. This works: ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs \ --with-mysql
