Operating system: BSDI BSD/OS 3.0
PHP version: 3.0.7
PHP Bug Type: Misbehaving function??
Bug description: No data returned from MySQL
http://www.huntinfo.com/reviews/outfitter_reviews.php3
I have set up a very simple page that stores articles in a database. The
link above goes to the main page. If you click on a link in that page it
takes you to an article that corresponds to that record. This code worked
great under Linux, but on BSD it's having trouble. Obviously the MySQL
database is working because the initial page loads data from the database.
When you click to show detail on a record, however, I receive the following
error:
Warning: No such index in string in
/usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/reviews/outfitter_reviews.php3 on line x
I get that for every line that tries to access the result set. Here is how I
call MySQL to retrieve the data:
$result_review = mysql_db_query("huntbbs","SELECT r.* FROM outfitter_reviews
r WHERE r.recid=\"$v_edit_review\";");
$row_review = mysql_fetch_row($result_review);
echo "<BR><BR>$row_review[1]\n<BR><BR>";
The calls to mysql_db_query and mysql_fetch_row do not return an error, but
when I try to output $row_review[anyindex] to the page I receive the warning
message.
Any ideas on what could be different between BSD and Linux, or perhaps
between the versions of PHP installed that would cause this? On Linux I used
PHP 3.0.5
Thank you,
